My name is Aline Roman. I’m a physiotherapist with a master in both pediatrics and musculoskeletal disorders. After completing my final internship, I was fortunate to join the Hand Rehabilitation team at UZ Ghent in 2017, where I treat patients with a wide range of upper-limb injuries, both after surgery and through conservative treatment. Since 2024, I have also been part of Praktijk De Knok in Melsen.
During my studies, I acquired basic sign language skills. Although I’m not fluent, I strive to support patients with hearing impairment as best as I can.
Since May 2025 I have taken on the role of webmaster for the BHT where I manage website-related issues, oversee membership renewals and help newly certified members to be visible on our website. The steady growth in members is truly a joyful development. Through our socials (facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn), I also work to enhance the visibility of the BHT and build a strong network. Any suggestions are welcome!
Outside of my job you can always find me bird watching, reading, walking or getting lost in yet another creative mini-project.
